Refund Policy

Colonial Dental Plan is not an insurance plan and is not intended to replace health insurance. Discounts may vary depending on the type of provider and service received. The plan does not pay providers directly. Colonial Dental Plan is a savings plan offered by a network of participating local dental practices in Rhode Island and Connecticut, where active plan members must pay for all services but will receive a discount from participating providers. The list of participating providers is available at www.colonialdentalplan.com/participating-offices. A written list of participating providers is also available upon request.

Each discount plan offered represents a 12-month long contract. Plans may be upgraded only during the first six months of the plan. Plans may only be canceled within the first 30 days for a full refund of membership dues paid, as long as services were not rendered during that time. If services were rendered within the first 30-day period and a plan member decides to cancel his/her plan, that plan member will be held responsible for the difference between the discounted price and usual fee for all work performed at the dental office where services were performed.
